Local car in excellent condition

This BMW was locally owned and cherished by a German Architect in his 90’s.  He purchased it as a Certified BMW and it was driven exclusively on roadtrips.  He decided it was time to give up driving and I was able to acquire the car.

During his stewardship he was fastidious with maintenance and repair as seen in the overall condition of the car.  We completed the following maintenance and repairs over a 3-month period.  New full synthetic oil with new filter, new air filter and both cabin filters, new brakes pads, rotors and wear sensors front and rear, repaired an oil leak at the driver’s side valve cover and upper timing chain cover which included replacing both valve cover and upper timing chain cover gaskets, installed the updated timing chain tensioner, new spark plugs, new upper radiator hose, replaced the coolant, new seals on related parts.  New seal on alternator and replaced both accessory drive belts.  Replace the starter motor with a new Bosch unit, replaced a transmission cooler line, sent the gauge cluster out to BavTek and had the information panel replaced to fix missing pixels.  Replaced the right side rear hatch lift shock and hatch glass window lift shock.  Replaced the front and rear wiper blades. The brakes have 100% pad remaining and the tires have 80% tread remaining.

So, if you have been looking for that classic low mile E39 Touring and don’t want to be like everyone else with a  Gray, White, Black or Silver car.  This is it.
